A Filipino Fiesta of Love: Rachel & Jomar’s Big Day

From the crack of dawn to the twinkling of the stars, the day was packed with love, laughter, and a touch of Filipino flair. Pepper June was recently invited to capture the magic of Rachel and Jomar’s wedding, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of a fiesta!

Getting Ready

Team 1 kicked off the day with Rachel and her squad, turning a flurry of hairspray and giggles into picture-perfect moments. With Hair By Nhidao and the artistry of Kathy Truong Studio for Make up, she was ready to steal the show. As Rachel slipped into her stunning gown, the excitement in the air was palpable. Meanwhile, across town, Team 2 joined Jomar as he prepped for the day ahead. Decked out in his traditional Filipino Barong.

Ceremony

With both teams prepped and primed, we all departed for the church, eager to witness Rachel and Jomar exchange their vows. As Rachel glided down the aisle, Jomar’s eyes lit up with sheer joy (and maybe a tear or two!). The ceremony was a beautiful blend of tradition and modern romance. We couldn’t help but fall in love with Rachel’s embroidered veil ’til death do us part’.

Snap Snap Snap!

With “I do’s” exchanged, it was time for the obligatory family photos. But with this lively bunch, even the formality of posed shots turned super fun! Bridal Portraits were then next on the agenda, and what better backdrop than the historic streets of The Rocks? Rachel and Jomar’s love shone brighter than the Sydney sun as they posed against the cityscape.

Reception at Pier One

A quick pitstop at Pier One for some HMU touch-ups had everyone looking fresher than ever! With the sun setting and the stars starting to twinkle, it was time to kick off the reception. Guests trickled in, mingling and marveling at the stunning setup adorned with florals by The Fabled Florette.

The doors swung open, and the festivities officially began! The bridal party made a grand entrance, setting the stage for an evening of love and laughter. The highlight of the night? The same-day edit screening, of course! There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as guests relived the magic of Rachel and Jomar’s journey. Followed by dry ice, pyro and a whole lot of love to set the stage for Rachel and Jomar’s first dance as a married couple. It was a moment straight out of a fairy tale.

Gelato & Good Times

As the night wore on, guests indulged in some late-night gelato while we captured the magic of the evening against the twinkling city lights. As the clock struck ten, it was time to bid adieu to Rachel and Jomar’s unforgettable day. But fear not, for Pepper June had captured every moment, ensuring that their love story would live on forever.

From the bustling streets of The Rocks to the starlit skies above, Rachel and Jomar’s wedding was a cultural celebration for the ages with hints of Filipino traditions. And as Pepper June, we were honoured to be a part of it.
