From the stunning bridal preparations to the lively reception, Shulin & Christian’s special day was filled with love, laughter, and cultural traditions.
The day started early as we arrived at Shulin’s hotel room to capture the bride’s preparations. The room was filled with excitement and anticipation as her bridesmaids helped her get ready for her big day and Maggie working her hair and make-up magic. Also can we just say, the bride looked stunning in her elegant white gown, while her bridesmaids wore matching sage dresses.
Meanwhile on the Groom’s Side
Meanwhile, Christian and his groomsmen were getting ready at another location. The groomsmen were dressed in matching suits and looked dapper as ever. We captured some candid shots of them joking around and having fun with the most adorable little kiddies around!
Following this we headed off for some portraits and first looks before the ceremony at George’s Head with the whole bridal party, capturing some lovely backdrops before heading to the ceremony.
The Ceremony
Afterwards, the ceremony took place at Athol Hall Lawn, with breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour as the backdrop. The outdoor ceremony was beautiful, with beautiful flower arch by Japonica adorning the aisle. Shulin looked radiant as she walked down the aisle towards Christian, who was waiting for her with a huge smile on his face. The ceremony was emotional and heartfelt led by celebrant Nicky Soloman and as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife all thier family and friends were cheering!
We then headed off to capture some beautiful couple portraits of the newlyweds against the stunning backdrop along the beach.
Let the Party begin!
Additionally, we headed inside Athol Hall for the reception. The reception was a lively affair, with Lebanese drummers and lion dancers performing for the guests. The atmosphere was electric, with everyone up on their feet, dancing and celebrating the newlyweds. Meanwhile, Shulin and Christian looked overjoyed as they danced the night away surrounded by their loved ones.
Overall, The decorations inside Athol Hall were elegant and chic, with soft lighting creating a romantic ambiance. The tables were adorned with beautiful floral arrangements, adding a touch of sophistication to the festivities. As the night drew to a close, we captured some final shots of the couple cutting their cake and first dance. From there everyone enjoyed the night and even spent time in what may be the first and last Shisha shack we’ll ever see at wedding. It was a truly magical day filled with love, laughter, and cultural traditions. Shulin and Christian’s wedding was a joy to capture. We feel honoured to have been part of their special day and to have captured their love story through our lens. We wish them all the happiness in the world as they embark on this new chapter of their lives together.
