Cherry blossom season in Japan always feels like stepping into a dream, petals suspended in the air, soft golden light filtering through trees, and a quiet sense of something fleeting and beautiful. This year, Pepper June Co returned for our Sakura 2025 Sessions, and what we captured was nothing short of magical.
Each session told its own story. Each person, each couple, each family brought something unique to the gardens, the streets, the fields, and it was an honor to witness it all.
Wendy & Jay joined us with their three wonderful girls, and from the first moment, their energy filled the space. The two older sisters were full of life, dancing, skipping, chasing blossoms like it was their own fairy tale. Meanwhile, their youngest daughter stayed close, sharing tender, quiet moments with her mum and dad. The balance of laughter and intimacy made this session feel like a true reflection of family love in all its forms.
Tammy & Yosuke brought a calm, steady warmth to their session with their son and daughter. The way they moved together, playful yet gentle, made the whole session feel like watching an ordinary day become something extraordinary under the trees.
An & David explored the city with us, starting by the river, wandering through soft florals, visiting a temple. Their chemistry shone in every setting, shifting so naturally from joyful and light to peaceful and introspective. Every moment with them felt cinematic.
Michael & Michel embraced the full bloom of the season with open hearts. We photographed them surrounded by florals and in golden fields where they simply existed,hands entwined, eyes on each other, laughing in the breeze. Their session felt soft and free, like poetry you don’t have to read to understand.
Sophia & Damir gave us contrast and connection. In traditional wear, they moved gracefully through a serene garden, their love rooted in tradition. Then, under city lights in casual outfits, they brought an effortless cool that felt modern and alive. Their session was a perfect balance of past and present.
Selena & Edward were an adventure from start to finish, floral fields, gardens, shared coffee, afternoon stops at a convenience store. They were playful, relaxed, and so at ease with one another. The everyday moments they shared became quietly cinematic in the soft glow of spring.
And Valerie Chow, standing alone among the blossoms, carried the kind of presence that fills a frame. Her solo portrait session was soft yet confident, peaceful yet bold. The way the light touched her face, how she moved through the trees, it felt like the blossoms had opened just for her.
